The filter can be removed very easily with a simple pull.

There is no damper attached to the glove box.

It is possible to replace the filter without removing the lower glove box clips. In fact, once removed, those lower clips can be somewhat tricky to reinstall, so it may actually be better not to remove them unnecessarily.

The Wagon R Smile gave the impression of appearing rather suddenly as a spin-off model of the Wagon R.

In terms of appearance, it looks less like a traditional Wagon R and more similar to the Suzuki Hustler.

Since the rear doors are sliding doors and the vehicle itself is relatively tall, the overall design gives off a rounded and friendly impression.

There are now many kei cars equipped with sliding doors, but most of them tend to be on the larger side within the kei car category. Because of that, a vehicle of this size using sliding doors feels quite fresh and unique.

Considering Japan’s often narrow road conditions, sliding doors are actually very well suited for everyday use.

With conventional doors, opening them requires extra side space, so there is always the risk of hitting nearby obstacles the moment the door is opened.

Sliding doors, on the other hand, move rearward exactly as the name suggests, so they require far less surrounding space.

That is probably the biggest advantage — passengers can get in and out more easily even when obstacles are close by. Families with small children will likely appreciate this benefit very much.

That said, sliding doors are not completely without danger. There is still the possibility of getting fingers or hands caught during opening or closing, so caution is necessary.

Fuel economy is slightly lower than the standard Wagon R, likely due in part to the added weight and structure of the sliding doors.
