Suzuki SX4 S-Cross Cabin Air Filter Replacement

Tools required: None

Open the Glove Box.

Remove the damper attached to the left side of the glove box.
The damper has a locking tab that retracts when pressed, so press it inward while pulling the damper to the left to remove it.

Grab one side of the glove box and pull it toward you to release the fitted section of the glove box.
Once one side is released, repeat the same process on the other side to remove the glove box completely.

Remove the Cover

There is a black cover located behind the glove box.
Push the handles on both sides inward while pulling the cover toward you to remove it.

Replace the Filter

This is the replacement procedure for the cabin air filter used in the SX4 derivative, the S-Cross.

Perhaps because the price was set rather high, even the sales staff seemed slightly hesitant about it, but the vehicle itself was actually quite stylish.
It feels as though the S-Cross was created by improving upon the areas where the SX4 fell short.

Originally, the vehicle was built by Magyar Suzuki in Hungary, and its appearance certainly carries that kind of atmosphere.
The original SX4 disappeared from the lineup when this vehicle was introduced as its replacement.

The cabin air filter replacement procedure is basically the same as the SX4’s (the glove box design is remarkably similar), but while the SX4 used a filter with a plastic frame, this model adopts a fully bonded filter design instead.

There is a very high possibility that the manufacturer producing the HVAC unit differs from the one used in the SX4.
Although no measurements were taken, considering production efficiency, it is possible that the filter shares specifications with existing bonded-type products, including those used by other automobile manufacturers.

Alternatively, it is also possible that more vehicles using this same type of unit will appear in the future.
