Honda Odyssey(RC) Cabin Air Filter Replacement

Now a Full-Fledged Luxury Car

Hey there!
Today, I’m going to show you how to replace the cabin air filter on the Honda Odyssey (RC series).
The process is the same for the hybrid model, so you can use this as a guide as well.
The current Odyssey has really stepped up its game, exuding an even stronger sense of luxury.
The very first RA series had a strong “mass-market” image and sold like crazy. These days, with compact cars and hybrids being the big trend, I get the impression the Odyssey is more of a “quiet” consistent seller.
It feels like its market positioning is similar to the Accord.
And with the Accord Hybrid making its appearance, it feels like that model is getting a second wind too.
The interior is seriously spacious.
Having the second-row seats split makes it so easy to move around inside the car—I love that.
Looking at cars in this class, regardless of the manufacturer, always makes me think, “Man, this is nice.” But then I think about the practical side, and I’m suddenly snapped back to reality!
Anyway, let’s get to the main point.

Lower the glove box

Open the glove box and push the damper on the left side inward to detach it. Then, push both sides of the glove box inward while pulling it toward you. This will release the stoppers at the back and allow you to lower the glove box out of the way.

Remove the cover

Once the glove box is moved, you’ll see a white cover. Pinch the handles on both sides inward and pull it toward you to remove it.
I noticed something interesting about this car: the blower unit and the cover are different colors. Usually, they use the same color for both, so it caught my eye.

Replace the filter

Now all that’s left is to swap the filter, and you’re good to go!
Even with the model change, the replacement method remained the same.
That’s exactly how it should be.
It’s an easy job, so definitely give it a try!
