Good evening!
This is a story from when I went to check out the current Crown Royal (Hybrid).
When you think of a Crown, you usually imagine whites, blacks, or maybe silvers, but seeing one in red was quite sensational.
You can really see the effort they’re putting in to change the Crown’s image.
In fact, you could see that same intent with that limited edition “Jaiko” (pink) Crown as well.
Until now, the Crown had a really strong “old man’s car” vibe, didn’t it?
I’m not sure if Toyota’s efforts have fully paid off yet, but since a vast majority of women choose cars based on looks first, I wonder how they’ll feel—even with a cute color, the Crown is still fundamentally a “rugged” car.
However, with increasing diversity and the remarkable advancement of women in society these days, if there are any women out there who want to try driving a Crown, I say go for it! Don’t hold back.
It might actually look pretty cool.
Now, let’s get to the main point!

First, open the glove box.
Then, detach the damper located on the left side of the glove box.
Next, push both sides of the glove box inward to release the stoppers at the back. It’s easier if you release them one side at a time.
Once the stoppers are free, pull the glove box toward you to remove it.

Push the handle on the black front cover downward while pulling it toward you to remove the cover.

Pinch the tabs on the left and right sides of the filter case and pull it toward you to take it out.

Replace the filter.
The process is exactly the same for the hybrid model.
Up until the previous model, the Crown had this shelf-like thing inside that was a real pain to remove, but that shelf is gone starting with this model.
I wonder if it was a cost-cutting measure?
Or maybe it was just unpopular with the previous version.
