Cabin Air Filter for the New Copen
Hey there!
Today, I’m going to show you how to replace the cabin air filter on the new Daihatsu Copen.
The new look is actually quite aggressive! But since the car itself is such a cute, compact size, even that “tough” styling feels charming in its own way.
Given the type of car it is, you might not see tons of them on the road, but it’s definitely a car that has a very loyal fan base.
Now, let’s get into it.
1. Remove the glove box

Open the glove box, push both sides inward, and pull it toward you to release the rear stoppers.
It’s easier if you do it one side at a time—unhook the left side first, then the right—and the glove box will come right off.
2. Remove the filter cover

Pinch the handle on the filter cover and pull it toward you (slightly to the left) to remove it.
Once you’ve made it this far, you’re basically done!
3. Replace the filter

Just swap out the filter, and you’re finished!!
It’s really helpful that Daihatsu has a consistent pattern for their replacement methods.
People who love this type of car often enjoy doing their own maintenance, so it might be a good idea to make this a yearly habit!
