MITSUBISHI(三菱)

## Nissan Dayz Replacement Procedure

**Tools Required:** None

Open the Glove Box

Dayz(B4#) gloveboxFirst, open the glove box.
Push the stopper on the left side of the glove box inward (to the right) to release the hook.
Push the stopper on the right side inward as well (to the left). Once released, the upper side of the glove box will come free.
Keep the glove box level and pull it toward you to disengage the lower mounting points.

Remove the Filter Cover

Dayz(B4#) filter coverYou will see a white filter cover. Pull the locks on both sides from the back toward the front to release them. Once unlocked, pull the entire cover toward you to remove it.

Replace the filter

Dayz(B4#) filter## Notes

The replacement procedure is probably the same for the Mitsubishi eK Wagon and eK X.
At the very least, the eK Wagon uses the same procedure.

The replacement itself is not particularly difficult, but the stoppers can be a little confusing until you get used to them.
Simply squeezing both sides of the glove box will not release the stoppers.
It is easier to release the left stopper first, as this also makes the right side easier to disengage.
Once you get the hang of it, the stoppers can be released quite easily.

Since the filter cover is already visible just by opening the glove box, it is technically possible to replace the filter without removing the glove box entirely, although the work becomes a bit more awkward.

## The New Nissan Dayz

The exterior design of the new Dayz has a cleaner and more refined front-end appearance.
The previous model was quite popular.

Since the previous generation (the third-generation eK series and the launch period of the first Dayz), the vehicle development has mainly been handled by the Mitsubishi-Nissan joint venture company.

The previous model used the 3B20 engine made by Mitsubishi, while the current model uses the BR06 engine developed by NMKV (Nissan Mitsubishi Kei Vehicle).
The BR06 is derived from the BR08 engine originally developed by Renault.
It was downsized for kei car use.

A hybrid version has also been added with this model generation (Dayz only).
The eK Wagon is available only in 2WD and 4WD configurations.
There is no turbocharged version.

Its main rivals are the Daihatsu Move, Honda N-WGN, and Suzuki Wagon R.
This type of slightly taller kei car tends to sell well in Japan.

For people who feel cars like the Alto, Mira, or N-ONE are too small, but think the Tanto, Spacia, or N-BOX are too large, the Dayz offers a good middle ground.

It is a midsize kei car that feels reasonably spacious while still being easy to drive.
Compared to the previous model, the overall size has changed very little.
The height has increased slightly.

The interior became slightly shorter and lower, but slightly wider than before.
