MIRAI(10) cabin air filter

TOYOTA(トヨタ)

It’s the first fuel cell car

I finally had a chance to see Toyota’s MIRAI, so I also took a look at the air conditioner filter.

It was also attached to MIRAI after all.

Nowadays, it is no exaggeration to say that almost every passenger car that has an air conditioner has one.

MIRAI was no exception to this.

Now let’s get to the point.

Remove the damper

First, open the glove box.
Then remove the damper on the left side of the glove box by pulling it to the left.
When I first saw it, it didn’t look much different from a normal car, so I was a bit taken aback.

Remove glove box

In recent Toyota cars, it is common to remove the glove box stopper by pushing both sides of the glove box inward, but in the case of the MIRAI, the stopper could not be removed using that method, so we removed the hinge at the bottom of the glove box. I pulled it out and removed the glove box.

Remove the cover

Then remove the cover.
You can remove it by pushing the protruding part on the left side inward and pulling it towards the left rear.
This is already a standard way to remove it.

Replace the filter

Just replace the filter and you’re done.

Recently, fuel cell vehicles tend to be hidden under a lot of buzz, but I think they are steadily progressing behind the scenes.
Since this is a plan that has been put into motion, I would like to see it become widespread.

First of all, our immediate goals are to improve the infrastructure and lower the price of the vehicle itself.
