Yaris Cross cabin air filter
Cabin air filter replacement for Yaris Cross released in 2020.
It appeared as an RV type of Yaris.
It seems like the RV boom has been reignited and they have followed the trend.
I think Toyota has also expanded its lineup of cars with higher vehicle heights.
Now, I will introduce how to exchange it.
The car we are introducing is a gasoline car, but of course hybrid cars can also be replaced using the same replacement method and filter.
Remove glove box
Open the glove box and push the left side inward to remove the glove box stopper pin.
Do the same on the right side and remove both sides to remove the glove box.
Push the side of the glove box (the area marked PUSH) inward to release the stuck part.
I think it’s probably okay to do either one first, but it will be easier to remove if you do the left side first, then the right side.
If you push up on the side of the glove box, it will be easier to remove the stuck part.
Remove filter cover
It was a little difficult to remove, probably because the car I saw was new.
You can remove the cover by pinching the left side of the cover and pulling it toward you, but the right side is inserted, so if you pull it out just like that, you may damage the right side.
So, remove the cover by pulling it towards you while pulling it towards the left side.
The left side is hard and may be difficult to remove, so please be careful not to force yourself to do so and cause injury or damage.
Replace filter
Once you remove the cover, all you have to do is replace the filter.
It’s easy once you get used to it, and you’ll be able to replace it in about 5 minutes.
